Who’s On First?

At Ken’s Man’s Shop we’re always looking for ways to engage with our community, and it’s a great bonus when we can support others while assisting a charity. That’s why we were very excited when a company called Who’s On First came to us with an idea that does all of these things and more.
Around the horn” is a baseball term that refers to the process of throwing the ball around the infield after an out, if there are no players on base. Throwing the ball around the horn isn’t a specific play and doesn’t advance the game; it’s just a tradition. As for why the players do it, people have suggested various reasons, such as giving the pitcher a break to focus on the next batter, or to keep the player’s arms warm, or even to keep their heads in the game. Bottom line, they do it ‘cause it’s fun. It’s a quick celebration that unites the infield.

One thing the Ken’s team really excels at and enjoys is coming together to serve our neighbors in times of local or even national need. So in the spirit of uniting for a cause, we’re thrilled to offer a limited edition “around the horn” t-shirt. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to JDRF, an organization dedicated to accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to prevent, treat and cure type 1 diabetes and its complications.

This special t-shirt is proudly designed in red, white, and blue, our nation’s colors. This ties in perfectly with the 4th of July being next week, and of course these are also the colors of our beloved Rangers.

The t-shirts are available for preorder now in sizes S through XXL, in athletic or classic fit, for only $34.99 each. You can preorder by email, or by calling us at (214) 369-5367.

Join Ken’s in celebrating our nation’s independence, baseball, and a worthwhile charity. Assist us in knocking this one out of the park!
